Sweet Indian Plantain is native to much of the Midwestern and Eastern United States. It prefers full sun to light shade, wet to medium soil moisture, and a variety of soil types. Sweet Indian Plantain blooms in late summer, from July to September. The nectar and pollen attract many different bees, wasps, flies, butterflies, skippers, and moths. White-tailed deer consume the foliage.
