Large-Flowered Water Plantain is a tough, water-loving plant that tolerates a wide range of conditions. The large basal leave are about a foot tall, oftentimes with red stems and veins. In early summer, an airy flowering stalk emerges from the foliage, holding the small white blossoms 3 feet above the water line. Each flower has 3 creamy petals with a spot of yellow at their base and surround a bright green center.
